In Her Own Words
Julie appreciates the parallels of nursing and the practice of law. She explains: “They are actually very similar in that a person is coming to me in their time of need, not knowing what to expect – whether it is surgery or a lawsuit – and my job, as a nurse or a lawyer, is to help them navigate through the process, making the journey as easy as possible.” Because of her unique educational and professional background, Julie has a vast understanding of legal issues that involve medical components.
Part of Ms. Heffington’s practice is devoted to adoption, which is near and dear to her heart. She became a mother through the process of adoption – both international and domestic.
